Perching Post

Herons and egrets are simultaneously graceful and awkward. Every movement is precise, controlled, and purposeful, but take a close look and many of the birds' physical proportions appear imbalanced. This little blue heron print was inspired by a photograph that I took of a heron perching on an old dock pylon. When a walk along the trail that passes this perch there is very rarely not a heron or egret sitting on it.
