Mummy Cave

Mummy Cave is not named for the creepy face that can be seen in the landscape. A mummified corpse was discovered in the pueblo many decades ago. Mummy Cave is located in Canyon del Muerto, a part of the Canyon de Chelly complex near Chinle, Arizona in the Navajo Nation. This photograph was made in June, 2023.
